On 5th April, Air France and Elyse Energy organized a breakfast event to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production in France.
This event, titled SAF - Connect: Cross-Perspectives on the Challenges and Opportunities of SAF development in France, featured two roundtable discussions with various stakeholders from the French sustainable aviation fuel ecosystem, including technology experts, financials, project leaders, public administration and offtakers.

It is the first time that Air France brought together key stakeholders of the French SAF ecosystem to exchange ideas and promote this essential lever to reach the decarbonation of our industry.
The discussions focused on the future and needs of the emerging SAF production in France and emphasized the need of clarity of the regulatory context at European level, financing support for producer and end-user pricing visibility.

The acceleration of the development of sustainable aviation fuels is a formidable challenge, but also a real opportunity in France and requires a collective effort.
